• Keep the unit continuously on to avoid repeated warm-up periods.
• After a sterilization cycle, wearing safety glasses and gloves, fully open the sterilizer door for at least 5 minutes before removing the Attest biological indicator.
• If the biological indicator is not in a test pack, allow it to cool outside the sterilizer for an additional 10 minutes before crushing.
• If the biological indicator is in a test pack, remove it from the sterilizer, open the pack for 5 minutes to dissipate heat, then let the indicator cool outside the pack for an extra 10 minutes before crushing.
• Position the biological indicator in the incubator's metal heating block with the bottom at a 45° angle and the cap above the metal block.
• Push the indicator straight back to crush the ampoule and activate it.
• Push the activated indicator down to seat it in the metal heating block, ensuring the cap remains above the metal block.
