3M DuraPrep Surgical Solution with Applicator comprises 3M Prep Protective Film, which dries to provide a persistent and permanent layer of protection on the patient's skin, offering both quick bacterial kill and long-lasting antimicrobial persistence. By acting as a primer, 3M Prep Protection Film aids in the adhesion of an antimicrobial incise drape to the patient's skin and guards against incise drape lift. It was scientifically created to protect the prep from removal during surgery. Proper skin prep lowers a patient's bacterial load during the perioperative period, offering both immediate and lasting protection.

• Effective after exposure to blood
• Creates a better adhesion surface for the surgical drape
• Meets the TFM required log reduction with a single, painted coat
• Enhances drape adhesion compared to Betadine combination, Hibiclens Antimicrobial Skin Cleanser, Prevail-Fx Antimicrobial Solution, and ChloraPrep Antiseptic Skin Prep to promote sterile surface to the wound edge

• The 8630 large applicator is suitable for large prep areas below the neck
• Do not use the 26 ml applicator for head and neck surgeries. The volume of liquid is difficult to control in this application. Instead, use the 6 ml applicator
