The 3M Tegaderm +Pad Film Dressing with Non-Adherent Pad is a waterproof, bacterial and viral* barrier dressing. The dressing consists of a non-adherent, absorbent pad bonded to a larger thin film backing with a non-latex, hypoallergenic adhesive.
The 3M Tegaderm +Pad Film Dressing with Non-Adherent Pad is designed for covering acute wounds such as cuts, superficial and partial- thickness burns, abrasions, IV catheter sites, and surgical incisions. It is also designed for covering low exuding superficial and partial- thickness chronic wounds including pressure ulcers, venous ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers. Advanced protection for wounds and surgical incisions. These sterile, waterproof film dressings provide a bacterial and viral barrier. The unique absorbent pad won't stick to the wound. (In vitro testing shows that the transparent film provides a viral barrier from virus 27 nm in diameter or larger while the dressing remains intact without leakage)
