Description
Advazorb Silfix Absorbent Foam Dressing with highly absorbent and hydrophilic foam has a soft silicone contact layer for easy, painless removal. It is especially appropriate for patients with delicate or fragile skin because it is made of strong, absorbent foam and provides better comfort and conformability than other foam products. The dressing can be customized for each application and trimmed to fit particular wound sizes.
Features:
- Prevents damage to recently formed granulation tissue.
- Reduces discomfort and trauma when changing or removing a dressing.
- Polyurethane foam that is soft, flexible, and rapidly absorbs and holds onto liquids.
- Perfect for delicate wounds on delicate skin, including those that need to be lightly compressed.
- It can be used under compression because the waterproof film backing prevents strike-through.
- While the silicone contact layer prevents adherence to a moist wound bed, it offers mild adhesion to intact skin.
- While a secondary dressing or bandage holds the dressing in place, the Advazorb Silfix contact layer enables the dressing to be positioned.
- Combines an atraumatic soft silicone layer over the dressing surface with premium foam and low-friction Advazorb film.
Indications:
- Suitable for acute and chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, cuts and abrasions, superficial burns, surgical wounds, pressure ulcers and diabetic ulcers.
- Suitable for wounds with low to moderate exudate.
Contra-indications:
- Arterial bleeds.
- Heavily bleeding wounds and vascular fungating tumours.
