When activated this collar helps to create a secure connection and is designed to keep the IV Catheter in place. The patented Ultrasite Luer Access Device (ULTRALITE LAD) prevents blood drawbacks when injecting, aspirating or infusing fluids and medications. This reduces the risk of accidental needlestick injuries (NSIs) in both patients and healthcare professionals.
