Smiths Medical Bivona FlexTend TTS Pediatric Straight Neck Flange Tracheostomy Tube is for children who need a cuff some of the time. When the cuff has air, it seals the tube against the windpipe. This directs air through the tube, keeps fluid out of the lungs, and helps patients on ventilators or doing lung exercises breathe better. When the seal isn't needed, the cuff lets air out and lies flat against the tube. This lowers the chance of windpipe injury and lets the patient peak.

Features of Flextend Trachestomy Tubes:

SuperSlick coating on silicone helps with tube insertion, removal, cleaning, and putting it back in. This helps patients, medical staff, and home care providers.
Wire inside the tube resists kinking.
Beveled, low-trauma tip gives more comfort and flexibility.
Non-ferrous wire means the tube is safe for MRI scans.
