Caresia Upper Extremity Gauntlet

The Caresia Upper Extremity Gauntlet is constructed of foam chips that gently stimulate the lymphatic system by promoting tissue flexibility. It also facilitates multi-layer bandaging, decreasing stress during application and saving time. The cushioned liner can be used to protect the skin when using short stretch compression bandages. The gauntlet provides complete range of motion and finger functioning.
In addition to lymphedema management, the Gauntlet can be used to minimize post-surgical swelling. Caresia's foam chips stimulate the tissue, encouraging interstitial fluid re-absorption and so reducing edema. Simply wear the Caresia liner and wrap short stretch bandages in a spiral or figure-eight pattern with 50% overlap. Bandages should fit snug but not tight. The gauntlet is easy to use and softens fibrosis while also distributing pressure.
Caresia is intended to diffuse irregular bandage pressure, resulting in a uniform symmetrical contour on the limb. It cushions bony regions and fills concave areas, adjusting for anatomical variances while preserving gradient compression. Bandages are not provided.

1. Slide your Caresia over your hand.
2. Starting at your palm, apply short-stretch bandages snugly over your Caresia, according to your medical professional's advice.
