FAQs
Will it work with reclining/rocker chairs?
Carex do not recommend using their seat assists with chairs that rock as this can create stability issues for the user and potential injury.
Can this be used with folding chairs? How about church pews or auditorium seats?
Carex don't recommend using this on folding chairs. It should be fine as long as the chair does not move or shake when using the device.
Upeasy seat assist how do I open seat to. Adjust weight
Great question! To adjust, follow these instructions from the user manual: 1. Stand Uplift on the end opposite the handle. 2. Unhook the hook and loop strap around the handle to open the Uplift. 3. Push down on the upholstered part of the seat surface, causing it to flex outward. This allows the piston to swing free. (The Uplift cushion is designed to flex this way thousands of times. Flexing will not damage the unit.) 4. Select a weight setting. Center the piston pin between the two grooves for user’s appropriate weight setting. Make sure it is fitted securely in the center of the weight slots. (The printed numbers on the setting gauge are only a guideline. The setting you choose should be according to the user’s ability and preference. Choosing a weaker setting will still allow a gentle lowering into the chair but will not provide as much force on rising.).
Are any Carex seat assist products FDA approved?
Yes, all seat lifts are FDA approved.
