Cutimed Sorbion Sachet XL is a sterile, hydroactive, gel-forming superabsorbent wound dressing. It features a highly absorbent core that retains large volumes of wound exudate and an outer hypoallergenic polypropylene fleece layer. Both sides of the dressing can be applied to the wound. The product contains no pharmacologically active substances and is free from binders and adhesives. It is particularly suitable for the treatment of extensive exuding wounds such as those on the upper and lower legs, thorax, abdomen, or forearm. Common applications include wounds healing by secondary intention, oozing laparotomy wounds, exulcerating carcinomas, and postoperative wound dehiscence.

Directions for Use:
- Disinfect hands and wear gloves before application
- Cleanse the wound according to standard clinical protocols; irrigate if necessary and remove any excess solution
- Ensure that the absorbent inner core overlaps the wound margins by at least 1 cm (0.4 inch)
- Avoid touching the wound pad when removing the dressing from the pouch
- Apply the dressing directly to the wound; both sides are suitable for application
- Secure with an appropriate fixation method such as film, tape, bandage, or suitable secondary dressing
- Allow for dressing expansion during fixation due to fluid absorption
How to Remove:
- Gently lift one corner of the fixation and remove the dressing carefully
- Any adherence of wound deposits indicates soft debridement and contributes to wound cleansing
Indications:
- Pressure injuries
- Venous leg ulcers (Ulcus cruris)
- Diabetic foot ulcers
Wear Time: The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and saturation levels.
