The super-absorbent polymers bind fluid, convert it to a gel, and keep it from entering the wound. Xtrasorb Classic Dressing is ideal for use on leg ulcers, where compression bandages can be left in place for up to 7 days, as well as on other wounds with copious wound fluid when minimizing dressing changes is a goal
