Description
Gentac Silicone Adhesive Island Wound Dressings offers gentle care for delicate and sensitive skin. Traditional dressings and tapes often use harsh adhesives that can make removal painful and traumatic. Gentac dressings and tapes are designed to minimize discomfort during dressing changes, featuring a gentle silicone adhesive that allows for easy lifting and repositioning. Dressing provides superior protection for fragile skin, with a soft silicone contact layer that safeguards new tissue and intact skin during dressing changes, promoting a more comfortable healing process.
Features:
- Not made with natural rubber latex.
- Low-profile design enhances flexibility and comfort.
- Ideal for patients at risk of skin tears due to its gentle adhesive border.
- Soft composite island dressing suitable for use as a primary or secondary dressing.
- Nonwoven island with an absorbent pad and silicone contact layer protects the wound site without adhering to granulating tissue.
Indications: Suitable for use as a primary or secondary dressing for partial and full-thickness wounds, including surgical and drain sites.
Contraindications: Not for use on third-degree burns.
Directions to Use:
- Remove dressing from pouch. Remove one release liner and apply dressing to one side of wound.
- Gently rub the dressing border until it sticks to the skin. Try to avoid wrinkling.
- Carefully remove other release liner. Gently rub dressing border against skin.
Change Frequency: Replace the Medline Island Dressing when drainage reaches the edges of the pad. It can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on exudate levels.
Note:
- Do not cut the dressing.
- For single use only.
