The Smith and Nephew OASIS Wound Matrix is a three-dimensional extracellular matrix that promotes healing and cell migration through the management of wounds. Caregivers and patients can use the single-layered sheets of OASIS to care for cleaned injuries because it is compatible with human skin. This device has a variety of uses and indications. Clean the wound using sterile saline. Make sure any blood or exudate is under control. Place the OASIS Wound Matrix onto the wound, cutting it to be slightly larger than the wound if needed. If multiple OASIS dressings are needed, overlap the edges of each dressing. Moisten the porcine-derived matrix with additional saline and apply a non-adhesive dressing and/or bandage over the matrix. Only change the dressing as necessary.
