FAQs
How much does an invacare wheelchair weight?
Invacare manufactures a number of wheelchairs with varying product weight or weight capacities in which Invacare Tracer SX5 Recliner weighs only 60 lbs.
How do you fold an invacare wheelchair?
To open or unfold the wheelchair:
Make sure your wheelchair is on a flat and solid surface.
Make sure the brakes are all the way down. You don't want your wheelchair to move away from you when you're trying to unlock it. Small levers in front of each rear wheel are frequently used to lock the wheels.
Grasp the wheelchair's seat with one hand in front and one in back.
Reduce the seat's height to its original position. The sides and wheels of the wheelchair should slide apart.
Press down all the way to fully expand the seat.
Your wheelchair is now ready for use. Make sure your wheelchair's brakes are secured before you sit in it.
To close or fold the wheelchair:
Make sure the brakes on the wheelchair are engaged.
Grab the seat with one hand in front and the other in rear as you stand in front of the wheelchair.
As you get out of your seat, take small steps forward. The seat should split in half, and the wheels should be able to move closer together.
The wheelchair should be folded and ready to transport or storage, with the centre seat fully lifted.
