Leukomed T Plus Post-Op Dressing are an excellent wound dressing item to be used after surgical procedures or for protecting cuts scrapes from infection. It has an absorbent fleece layer that makes the bandage ideal for use with wounds that are still secreting fluids. The adhesive, made of a polyacrylate, is very effective and clings securely after placement. In spite of the reliability of the adhesive, it is still gentle on the skin and easy to remove. The pads are sterilized and packaged individually in order to reduce the risk of infection or contamination. The outer layer is made of a polyurethane film that is designed to be waterproof and to act as a barrier to prevent the introduction of bacteria to the wound. Leukomed T Plus has a highly absorbent fleece pad as mentioned. This pad also has a special polypropylene coating in order to help reduce clinging or sticking to wounds or incisions, which can be painful or lead to difficulties when changing bandages and slows the healing process. Using the clearly marked red handling tape on the bandage it is very easy to apply a Leukomed T Plus bandage. First, remove the release paper, then hold on to the red handling section, place the bandage over the wound and gently press it down to create a bond between the adhesive and the skin. Then all you have to do is pull up and over on the red handling tape to remove the application film. The ease of application makes it great for covering most wounds while maintaining maximum care to ensure that the bandage is placed correctly.
