Description
Optifoam Ag Foam Dressing with Ionic Silver is designed to provide a safe, antimicrobial environment for up to seven days without harming healthy tissue. Optifoam Ag delivers superior fluid management compared to other leading brands, reducing the need for frequent dressing changes and minimizing patient discomfort, while also lowering time and supply costs. Each dressing contains approximately 0.13% by weight of silver chloride and can be used under compression bandage systems.

Indications:
- Pressure injuries
- Partial- and full-thickness wounds
- Surgical wounds and wounds with colonization
- Post-operative wounds for bioburden management
- Leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and donor sites
- Lacerations and abrasions
- First- and second-degree burns
- Use under compression bandages
Contraindications:
- Third-degree burns
- Lesions with active vasculitis
- Individuals with known sensitivity to silver
Direction to Use:
- Remove the dressing from the package and peel away the first carrier sheet.
- Place the dressing over the wound, ensuring it covers the wound and surrounding skin.
- Smooth the dressing over the wound and skin, then remove the window release paper.
Change Frequency: Change the dressing when drainage reaches the edges of the foam pad. Dressing may remain in place for up to 7 days.
