The collagen maintains its natural triple helix structure, providing sustained collagen support to the wound. Each dressing contains pure collagen and hydrated silver chloride at a concentration of 1.2%, which helps protect the dressing from bacterial contamination. It may be used when visible signs of infection are present in the wound.

Indications:

• Pressure, venous, diabetic ulcers.
• Partial and full-thickness wounds.
• Ulcers caused by mixed vascular etiologies.
• First- and second-degree burns.
• Donor sites, and other surface wounds.
• Dehisced surgical wounds.
• Abrasions, traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention.

Contraindications:

• Not intended for use on third-degree burns.
• Active vasculitis or patients with known sensitivity to collagen or silver.

Direction to Use:

1. Remove Puracol Plus Ag from the package.
2. The dressing should come in contact with the wound. If necessary the dressing may be moistened with sterile saline.
3. Cover with a secondary dressing.
