Mesalt Sodium chloride Impregnated Dressing

Mesalt Sodium Chloride Impregnated Sterile Dressing is intended to aid in the cleaning of discharged wounds. The dressing is composed of a soft viscose/polyester nonwoven material impregnated with 20% sodium chloride.It promotes debridement of severely oozing wounds during the inflammatory phase by absorbing exudate, bacteria, and necrotic debris, which aids in wound healing. Dressing absorbs wound exudate, releasing sodium chloride, which creates a hypertonic environment that attracts exudate, germs, and necrotic tissue into the dressing to aid the body's natural healing process.

Product material content: Viscose/Polyester, 20% sodium chloride.

Direction to use:

1. Clean the wound area and debride of any excessive necrotic tissue or eschar.
2. Dry the surrounding skin, but do not dry the surface of the wound.
3. Where clinically indicated, a water-resistant cream or ointment can be used on the surrounding skin.
4. Choose the appropriate dressing size. For shallow wounds do not allow dressing to overlap the wound edges. For deep wounds, loosely fill the wound.
5. Apply dressing dry into the wound
6. Depending on the level of exudate, cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.
7. Where clinically indicated, compression therapy may be used in conjunction with Mesalt.

Dressing change and removal: Dressing should be changed when saturated (at least once daily) or according to good clinical practice. If the wound condition worsens, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Storage: Store Mesalt in dry conditions (below 60% RH) and below 25°C (77°F). Dispose of according to local environmental regulations.

Precautions:

• Do not use dressing on patients or users with known hypersensitivity to the product materials/components.
• Should not be used on dry wounds.
• Avoid direct contact of dressing with exposed bone or tendon.
• Infected wounds should be regularly evaluated and appropriately treated.
• Do not reuse, reuse may reduce product performance and increase risk of cross-contamination.
• Do not re-sterilize.
