A. The nutritional content of Neocate Splash and Neocate Junior is practically the same. Both are nutritionally complete and come in a range of flavors. Neocate Splash can be viewed as a ready-to-feed form of Neocate Junior.

Q. Is Neocate® Splash a complete nutrition source for adults?

A. Like Neocate Junior, it can meet 100% of most, if not all, vitamin and mineral guidelines for teenagers and adults, depending on energy requirements. Please contact your healthcare team for advice on how much Neocate Splash is needed to reach nutritional goals.

Q. What is the optimal temperature to keep Neocate® Splash at?

A. Room temperature is the optimal temperature for storing unopened Neocate Splash over time. This is because some nutrients are sensitive to heat and others are sensitive to cold. Keep Neocate Splash away from direct sunlight, air vents, hot appliances, and cold, draughty areas.

However, unopened Neocate Splash can be placed in the refrigerator ahead of time to cool down, for example, for tomorrow's lunch box. If it hasn't been opened, we recommend keeping it in the refrigerator for up to a week. However, keep in mind that if the drink box is unsealed, it can only be refrigerated for up to 24 hours. And if someone has already drank from the box, you just have one hour!

Q. How long does this product hang when used in tube feeding?

A. Hang time is the amount of time a formula can safely remain at room temperature after being opened ("hang" because tube feeding bags sometimes hang on an IV pole). We recommend a maximum hang time of four hours for Neocate® Splash. To help avoid contamination during preparation and delivery, clean handling procedures should be utilized when preparing tube feedings. Discuss with your healthcare provider how to practice clean handling techniques and how Neocate Splash, Unflavored can be used in your tube feeding routine.
