PDI Prevantics antiseptic swabsticks are designed for easy use and effective reduction of microorganisms that can cause central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs). They offer antimicrobial activity for up to 7 days and feature a low-profile applicator for precise application, particularly around insertion sites, to better prevent infections.
Features:
- Continued Antimicrobial Activity: Effective for up to 7 days.
- Dual-Sided Applicator: Designed for use in interdigital areas and skin folds.
- Precise Application: Low-profile applicator helps staff apply antiseptic accurately, especially at or around insertion sites.
Formulation: Contains 3.15% (w/v) chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) and 70% (v/v) isopropyl alcohol (IPA)
Scrub and Dry Time:
- Dry Sites: 30-second prep time followed by a 30-second dry time.
- Moist Sites: 2-minute scrub time followed by a 1.5-minute dry time.
Applicators: Intended for the preparation of the patient's skin prior to surgery or injection.
