Pivot 1.5 CAL is an immune-modulating, peptide-based formula designed to deliver concentrated therapeutic nutrition for metabolically stressed patients requiring short- or long-term tube feeding. This advanced enteral formula supports the elevated nutritional demands of surgical, trauma, burn, or head and neck cancer patients and is suitable for use as sole-source or supplemental nutrition. Formulated for enhanced absorption and tolerance, it is intended to be used under medical supervision.

• Glutamine (inherent) (7.6 g/L) for GI-tract integrity and energy for immune cells.
• Arginine (13 g/L, 3.5% of calories) to support the proliferation and function of immune cells.
• Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA, 2.6 g/L; DHA, 1.1 g/L) to help modulate inflammation and support immune function.

Tolerance:

• Hydrolyzed, peptide-based protein system.
• Advanced blend of hydrolyzed protein, structured lipid, and prebiotics (scFOS) to promote absorption and tolerance.
• MCT/fish oil structured lipid, a well-tolerated7,8 and absorbed8 next-generation fat to promote absorption of fatty acids.
• 1.8 g of scFOS/8 fl oz (7.5 g/L). scFOS are prebiotic soluble fibers that stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the colon.

Instructions for Use:

8 fl oz Container

• Store unopened at room temperature.
• Shake well before opening.
• After opening, reclose, refrigerate, and use within 48 hours.

Tube Feeding:

• Follow the physician's instructions.
• Adjust flow rate and volume according to patient's condition and tolerance.
• Feed at room temperature using a feeding pump or syringe.
• Additional fluid requirements should be met by giving water between or after feedings or when flushing the tube.
• Avoid contamination during preparation and use.

Precautions:

• Not for IV use.
• Not suitable for people with galactosemia.
