Description
PolyMem Surgical Silver Adhesive Film Pad Dressings are engineered to support post-operative healing by focusing inflammation precisely where it is needed—within the operated tissues. This helps reduce pain, swelling, and infection risk while maintaining an optimal healing environment. With higher fluid-handling capability and a unique ability to cleanse, fill, absorb, and moisten the wound, PolyMem Surgical Silver Dressings provide comprehensive wound support whether healing by primary or secondary intention.
Features & Benefits
- Moistens: Maintains a moist wound bed to prevent adherence, allowing for virtually pain-free dressing removal.
- Fills: Gently expands and conforms to the wound so the site continuously receives the benefits of the dressing.
- Absorbs: Wicks away up to 10× its weight in exudate, concentrating natural growth factors and nutrients at the wound site.
- Protects from Contamination: Semi-permeable polyurethane film backing helps prevent outside contaminants from entering the dressing or wound.
- Cleanses: The built-in cleansing agent activates with moisture and releases into the wound bed, reducing the need for manual cleansing during dressing changes.
- Relieves Pain & Swelling: Helps inhibit the nociceptor response, reducing persistent and procedure-related pain, inflammation, and swelling.
How to Apply
- Clean and prepare the wound according to standard clinical protocol.
- Select the appropriately sized PolyMem Surgical Silver dressing.
- Apply the dressing directly over the wound or incision site.
- Ensure the adhesive film seal is fully secured around the edges for proper protection.
- Confirm the dressing is smooth, without air gaps, to maintain moisture balance and waterproof performance.
- Leave in place up to 7 days, or change sooner depending on exudate levels.
