How to Apply

1. Cleanse the wound per clinician direction.
2. Cut the dressing one-third smaller than the wound depth or cavity (it expands as it absorbs fluid).
3. Place PolyMem WIC Silver directly into the wound cavity—ensure contact with wound surfaces.
4. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing, such as PolyMem or Shapes by PolyMem.
5. Change dressing based on exudate levels and clinical assessment.

Indications for Use

PolyMem WIC Silver Cavity Filler is indicated for:

• Pressure injuries (Stages 3–4)
• Diabetic ulcers
• Vascular/venous ulcers
• Acute wounds
• Moderate- to high-exudate wounds
• Non- or minimally-exudating wounds
• Cavity wounds, undermining, or shallow wounds requiring moisture/exudate management

Contraindications

• Not recommended for use with topical treatments.
• Do not use on patients sensitive to product components.

Warnings

• Designed for use as a cavity filler; always apply with an appropriate secondary dressing.
• Dressing expands—ensure it is not overpacked into the wound.
• Monitor wound progress regularly, especially in infected wounds.
