PROVIMIN is for use in the management of patients who require a formula modified in carbohydrate, fat, and/or increased protein: abetalipoproteinemia; cholestasis; chylothorax; fatty acid oxidation defects; glutaric aciduria type II; hyperlipoproteinemia type I (fasting chylomicronemia); hypobetalipoproteinemia; lymphangiectasis, intestinal malabsorption of carbohydrate and/or fat; supplement for any patient who requires increased protein, minerals, and vitamins; X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy. Use under medical supervision.

Preparation
Directions for Preparation and Use: Use Only As Directed by a Physician
Depending on specific needs of each individual, preparation will vary as prescribed by physician. Failure to follow these directions could result in harm. If feeding an infant, ask your baby's doctor if you need to use cooled, boiled water for mixing and boil (sterilize) bottles, nipples and rings before use.
- Wash your hands, surfaces and utensils.
- Pour a small amount of the prescribed liquid into a clean container or blender.
- Add the prescribed amount of ProViMin powder and mix or blend on low speed to make a smooth paste.
- Gradually add remaining liquid (and other ingredients if recommended) to the mixture while stirring or blending. Stir or blend until well blended.
- Pour mixture into clean feeding container; cap.
- Shake well before feeding.
Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
