Silflex Soft Silicone Contact Layer Dressing is effective as the primary dressing for a wide range of wound types. Its purpose is to minimize pain and trauma during dressing changes by gently adhering to the dry skin surrounding the wound bed. Exudate can pass through the Silfix soft silicone coating on the polyester mesh dressing, making it possible to change the dressing without coming into direct contact with the wound.
Features:
- Can be cut to the desired wound coverage size.
- Effective exudate passage is made possible by 2 mm holes.
- Gently adheres by conforming to the skin's surface.
- Silfix soft silicone is used to coat the atraumatic contact layer.
- Intended to reduce discomfort and trauma while in use.
- Adhesion to the wound bed is prevented by the hydrophobic silicone coating.
Indications:
- Surgical Wounds.
- Leg and Pressure ulcers.
- Skin Tears or Abrasions.
- Acute and chronic wounds that require protections.
- Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (as a primary dressing).
Contra-indications:
- Do not use if allergic to silicone.
