Simpurity Bordered Gauze Dressing

Simpurity Bordered Gauze Sterile Sponges are a non-adhering gauze sponge island dressing with an adhesive border. These woven sponges are made of 12-ply 100% USP cotton and are intended to be used as secondary dressings. The sponge absorbs exudate, resulting in a cleaner wound bed, while the adhesive border protects the wound from outside contaminants.

Features

• Absorbent Gauze Pad: The central pad, made of 12-ply 100% USP cotton, effectively absorbs wound exudate (fluid) to maintain a clean wound environment.
• Non-Adherent Pad: The gauze pad does not adhere to the wound bed, reducing discomfort during dressing changes.
• Adhesive Border: The secure adhesive border holds the dressing in place and protects the surrounding skin from irritation and contamination.
• Secondary Dressing: This dressing is typically applied as a second layer, usually over a topical medication or another absorbent dressing.
