Iodoflex Cadexomer Iodine Gel Pad Dressing is a sterile, antimicrobial wound dressing featuring cadexomer iodine technology that supports effective wound bed preparation and healing. These pads are designed to absorb wound exudate, slough, pus, and debris while releasing broad-spectrum iodine, promoting a clean, moist healing environment. As the pad absorbs fluid, it forms a gel over the wound surface and gradually releases iodine for sustained antimicrobial activity.

Indications: Indicated for exuding wounds that are colonized or infected and contain slough or debris, including venous stasis ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, traumatic wounds and dehisced surgical wounds.

Contraindications: Do not use in patients with known or suspected iodine sensitivity.

Directions to use:

• Clean the wound and the surrounding area using a gentle stream of sterile water or saline. Do not dry the wound surface.
• Remove the carrier gauze from both sides of the paste using aseptic technique.
• Apply dressing directly to the wound surface. Apply compression bandaging when appropriate. Discard any remaining dressing.

• Change dressing when it becomes saturated with wound fluid, as indicated by loss of color, typically two to three times per week. For heavily exuding wounds, daily changes may be required.
• If necessary, soak the dressing for a few minutes.
• Gently remove dressing using a stream of sterile water or saline. Gently blot excess fluid, leaving the wound surface slightly moist, before reapplying Iodoflex.
