Span America PressureGuard Easy Air Lateral Rotation Mattress is an advanced therapeutic support surface designed to deliver comprehensive pressure injury prevention and treatment for high-risk patients. Engineered for acute care, long-term care, and post-acute settings, this multi-modality mattress combines low air loss microclimate management, alternating pressure, and optional lateral rotation to support skin integrity, comfort, and safety. Its proprietary Air Diffusion Matrix and PressureGuard air and foam design work together to effectively manage moisture, reduce maceration, and redistribute pressure without sacrificing surface stability. Unlike traditional air-only systems, the Easy Air mattress maintains inflation during power outages, provides a stable and supportive feel, and enhances caregiver confidence during transfers and repositioning.

The recessed deck versions of selected Span surfaces, including the Easy Air LR, brings our advanced technology to recessed deck beds.Our engineers have developed a version of the Easy Air LR surface to accommodate the unique design requirements of recessed deck beds. V-shaped edges enable the mattress to fit the recessed deck bedframe, while the compressible section accommodates multiple lengths and foot positions

Patented design creates an inner bolster “cradle” effect for added safety when the patient sits on or moves toward the bed edge. This protective feature helps direct the patient’s center of gravity safely back toward the center of the bed. Two sturdy fabric handles improve relocation ergonomics

• Patients with excessive skin moisture due to sweating, decreased mobility, inability or refusal to be repositioned.
• Patients with macerated skin due to any of the above.
• Patients with increased skin or body temperature due to infection, sepsis, or other conditions.
• Patients with a combined score ≤ 5 on Braden Moisture, Activity and Mobility scales.
• Treatment of Stage 1-4 Pressure Injuries.
• Prevention of Pressure injuries for high-risk patients.
