Stimulen Collagen Powder for topical use to manage any kind of ulcer and skin lesion to help wound closure and to control minor bleedings, sponge-shaped device, constituted exclusively by lyophilized type I native heterologous equine collagen, which transforms into a soft gel, allowing contact with the entire wound bed.

Indications: Stimulen Collagen Powder is indicated for prolonged use (24 hours to 30 days) in the management of wounds including: partial- and full-thickness wounds, pressure injuries (stages 1-4), venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, partial-thickness burns, acute wounds, abrasions, traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention, and donor sites and other surface wounds.
Contraindications: Do not use if allergic to animal-based products.
Warnings and Precautions: Consult a physician if signs of infection such as fever, swelling, or pain occur.
Storage Requirements: Store in a cool area with low humidity.
Active Ingredients: Bovine collagen
Application: Stimulen is a sterile product and should be handled as such.
- Initial application – Debridement of the wound may be needed. Cleanse the wound site with appropriate cleanser.
- Dry skin surrounding wound site, leaving the wound bed slightly moist. Sprinkle Stimulen powder on the wound site. A depth of approximately 1/8” is recommended. Make sure entire wound bed is covered with Stimulen powder. Usea non-adherent secondary dressing and secure with tape or appropriate wrap. We recommend Elasto-Gel, a bacteriostatic, absorbent glycerine-based gel sheet.
- Maintain a moist, not wet, wound environment.
- Change the secondary dressing and add Stimulen powder daily or as needed. There is no need to remove prior Stimulen powder applications.

Removal & Change Frequency: Stimulen Collagen Powder does not need to be removed from the wound site. The collagen powder is readily broken down by the natural enzymes present in most wound fluids. Change the secondary dressing and re-apply Stimulen Collagen Powder daily or as needed.
Additional Recommended Dressings: Cover the wound bed and Stimulen Collagen Powder with a non-adherent secondary dressing.
