How To Apply

1. Clean and rinse the wound, using appropriate wound cleanser. Skin around the wound should be clean & dry.
2. Select a dressing that extends about 1” onto intact skin. If necessary, fold or cut to adjust to wound size. Apply the center of the dressing to the center of the wound, using clean technique.
3. Press gently, forming the dressing to the wound area and any folds or creases. Take care not to stretch the dressing. The dressing becomes more pliable as it absorbs heat from the body. Check the edges of the dressing to be sure that they are well adhered.
4. Change weekly, or more often, as needed. Change when the dressing is saturated with body fluids, if leakage or exudate is observed, or if the occlusive seal is broken. If used in the presence of necrotic tissue, the wound may appear to increase in size and depth during autolysis. This is a normal consequence of occlusive treatment. Rinse with a wound cleanser before wound assessment and applying a new dressing.
