Advazorb Heel Absorbent Hydrophilic Foam Wound Dressing is specifically made to fit the curves of the heel. It is a non-adherent, highly absorbent foam dressing with a breathable film backing. It is ideal for use with compression bandaging due to its better fluid-handling properties, which include fluid retention, a low profile, and reduced friction backing for patient comfort.

Features:

• Soft, conformable foam that is shaped to fit the heel's specific shape.
• Comfort is improved by low-friction backing, especially for recumbent patients.
• A moist wound healing environment is supported by a high moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR).
• Wound exudate is quickly absorbed and retained by soft polyurethane foam.
• The dressing can be used under compression because the waterproof film backing stops strike-through.
• Soft foam and low-friction backing work together to improve patient and clinician satisfaction.

Indications:

• Low to moderate exudate applications.
• Suitable for acute and chronic wounds such as- Leg ulcers, cuts and abrasions, superficial burns, surgical wounds, pressure ulcers and diabetic ulcers.

Contra-indications:

• Arterial bleeds.
• Heavily bleeding wounds and vascular fungating tumours.
