Vitale Xeroform Petrolatum Dressings provide gentle, effective wound care with a unique blend of petrolatum and 3% Xeroform (Bismuth Tribromophenate). How To Apply
- Clean and rinse the wound, using saline or an appropriate wound cleanser.
- Before applying, skin around the wound should be clean and dry. Use a skin barrier prep as needed.
- Using aseptic techniques, remove the dressing from the package and apply it to the moist wound bed.
- Cover with a secondary absorbent dressing, and secure as appropriate.
- Change dressing as directed, when strike-through occurs, or at least every 7 days.
Usage Guidelines:
- Type: Primary dressing
- Exudate Levels: Dry to light drainage
- Wound Stages: I-IV
- Indicated Wound Types: Incision sites, Donor sites & skin graft sites, Abrasions & minor burns, A Primary Occlusive Layer
