Hartmann-Conco Proximel Heel Silicone Dressing is expertly designed for the specialized needs of heel wound management. This sterile foam dressing, incorporates a silicone adhesive that is both gentle and effective, providing secure placement while minimizing patient discomfort during changes. The inclusion of a waterproof film backing ensures the dressing remains impervious to external bacteria and moisture, thus maintaining an optimal healing environment.

Product Composition:

A five-layer design that improves upon traditional silicone dressings:

1. Protective Backing:
   • High MVTR.
   • Smooth and comfortable.
   • Waterproof and bacteria barrier.
2. Superabsorbent Core:
   • Exceptional absorption capability.
   • Superabsorbent fiber layer.
   • Helps minimize maceration risk.
3. Nonwoven Layer:
   • Spreads fluid to a wide surface.
   • Enhances absorption performance.
4. Absorbent Polyurethane Foam:
   • Great fluid handling capability.
   • Offers additional comfort and cushioning protection.
5. Silicone Wound Contact Layer:
   • Unique silicone oil and perforation technology.
   • Distributes wound exudate fast and evenly.
   • Gentle and secure with pain free removal.
   • Does not strip away epidermal cells.

How to apply:

1. Clean and dry the wound area per protocol prior to application.
2. Remove the release films and apply the adherent side to the wound and skin. Do not stretch.
3. Gently secure the dressing to the skin and smooth edges.
4. The dressing should overlap the dry surrounding skin by at least .4 to .8 inches (1-2cm).
5. The frequency of replacing the dressing depends on the patient's condition and exudate level. Wear time is up to 7 days.
