Hydrofera Blue Ready Border Antibacterial Foam Dressing

Hydrofera Blue Ready Border are antibacterial foam dressings that are advanced and designed to keep a moist wound healing environment without needing to be moisturized. The gentle silicone adhesive border of these sterile, non-cytotoxic dressings ensures secure wound protection while also allowing for atraumatic removal, resulting in greater comfort for patients during dressing changes. Made from polyurethane (PU) foam, these dressings help manage exudate efficiently and can be worn for up to seven days, depending on wound conditions. The dressing's combination of methylene blue and gentian violet provides antibacterial protection that kills bacteria within the dressing.

How to Apply

1. Remove the dressing from its sterile package.
2. Peel off one side of the release liner to expose the adhesive border.
3. Center the foam pad directly over the wound bed (blue side facing down, white side up).
4. Smooth the adhesive border onto the surrounding skin as you remove the remaining liner.
5. Press gently around the edges to ensure good adhesion and a secure seal.

Removal

1. Gently lift the adhesive border from the skin, starting at a corner.
2. Carefully peel back the dressing while supporting the skin.
3. Cleanse the wound as per protocol before reapplying a new dressing.

Warnings and Precautions

• Hydrofera Blue READY dressings are not indicated for third-degree burns.
• The dressing should not be used on individuals who are sensitive to or who have had an allergic reaction to the dressing or one of its components.
