Description
Hydrofera Blue Transfer Antibacterial Foam Dressings are designed to manage wounds with higher levels of exudate while maintaining a moist environment for wound healing. These sterile dressings absorb and transfer excess wound fluid into a secondary dressing, helping to protect the wound edges and reduce the risk of skin maceration. Hydrofera Blue Transfer is made up of polyurethane (PU) foam and infused with methylene blue and gentian violet, resulting in broad-spectrum antibacterial protection that minimizes bioburden while preserving growth factors. The dressings are safe to use, require no hydration before application, and can be worn for up to seven days, depending on the wound's clinical condition.
Features
- Transfers exudate efficiently: Moves excess fluid away from the wound bed into a secondary dressing.
- No film backing: Allows exudate to pass freely while maintaining dressing flexibility.
- No pre-hydration required: Ready to use straight from the package.
- Broad-spectrum antibacterial action: Infused with gentian violet and methylene blue to help manage bioburden and reduce infection risk.
- Maintains a moist wound environment: Supports optimal healing without additional hydration.
- Non-cytotoxic and safe: Gentle on healing tissue and does not inhibit fibroblasts or growth factors.
- Up to 7-day wear time: Long wear duration reduces the need for frequent dressing changes.
- Kills bacteria within the dressing: Ensures infection control without releasing active substances into the wound bed.
Indications of Use
- Shallow wounds
- Wounds with an infection or at risk of infection
- Post-op wounds and post-surgical incisions
