Description

Mepore Self-Adhesive Sterile All-in-One Dressing is a self-adhering dressing that absorbs both blood and exudate. The water-repellent backing shields the wound from external contaminants. The skin-friendly, water-based adhesive gently secures the dressing while being air permeable, resulting in pleasant wear and easy application.

Features:

  • Absorbs blood and exudates.
  • Conformable and comfy for the patient.
  • Skin-friendly adhesive enables for gentle fixation and removal.
  • Water-repellent backing guards against external contamination.
  • Water-based, solvent-free adhesive provides a gentle adhesion.
  • The low-adherent wound contact layer lowers trauma during dressing changes.
  • The easily removable protecting paper allows for a more convenient and sanitary administration.
  • Conformable, stretchable fabric allows for movement.

Dressing consists of:

  • An absorbent wound pad having a non-adhering wound contact layer.
  • An adhesive border constructed of water-based acrylic adhesive, with two overlapping release liners for aseptic application.
  • An exterior breathable nonwoven that physically protects the wound.

Dressing material content: Acrylic adhesive, polyester nonwoven, viscose and polyoleofin nonwoven.

Indications: Suitable for use on low to moderately exuding wounds, such as surgical wounds, cuts and abrasions.

Directions to use:

  1. Clean the wound according to clinical guidelines.
  2. Completely dry the surrounding skin. Moisturizers, gels, and ointments should not be applied to the skin surrounding the wound since they may compromise adhesion.
  3. Remove the release liners and apply the adhesive side to the skin without stretching the dressing, making sure the absorbent pad completely covers the wound.
  4. Gently press the border to ensure it adheres securely to the skin.

Precautions:

  • To avoid skin damage caused by shear forces, do not apply the dressing under tension.
  • When applying to joints, be careful not to impede movement.
