Description

Optifoam Sacrum Adhesive Foam Dressing is a premium, sterile highly absorbent wound care solution specifically designed for the sacral area. Engineered for moderate to heavily draining wounds, this dressing reduces the frequency of dressing changes while maintaining a clean, protected wound environment. Its waterproof outer layer serves as a barrier against bacteria, prevents strike-through, and resists roll-up, ensuring extended wear and uninterrupted healing. The low-profile, flexible design conforms comfortably to the body, providing secure adhesion and protection even during movement, making it ideal for both patients and caregivers.

Features:

  • Not made with natural rubber latex.
  • Highly Absorbent Foam Core: Efficiently manages wound exudate to maintain a clean, moist healing environment and reduce dressing change frequency.
  • Waterproof Outer Layer: Protects against external contaminants, prevents strike-through, and resists roll-up for extended wear.
  • Premium Silicone Adhesive: Provides secure yet gentle adhesion, allowing repositioning and painless removal without damaging periwound skin.
  • Low-Profile & Conformable: Flexible design contours to the sacral area for maximum comfort and reduced risk of dressing displacement.
  • Extended Wear Time: Can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound drainage and clinical evaluation.
  • Can be used as a primary or secondary dressing, simplifying wound management.

Indications: Moderate to heavily draining partial and shallow full-thickness wounds.

Contraindications: Third degree burns, lesions with active vasculitis (more frequent dressing changes are recommended).

How to apply:

  1. Remove dressing from the package. Remove first carrier sheet.
  2. Place dressing on the wound. Use a dressing large enough to cover the wound and surrounding skin.
  3. Smooth dressing over the wound and skin. Remove the window release paper.
