VersaRate is a proprietary adjustable flow rate device designed to offset variations present when infusing fluids with mechanical pumps. EMED’s variable rate control devices, VersaRate are proprietary designs (patent pending) for mechanical pumps with pressure from 5-40+ psi. VersaRate is a flow control device that was originally designed in response to patient and clinician requests to add flexibility to therapies that require flow rate variations during various infusion clinical settings.
Features
- Low residual volume
- 6 Flow rate position settings
- Includes dedicated flow rate calculator
- Ergonomic design with easy to use dial
- Flow stability in a given position setting
- Off position to stop flow immediately, if needed
- Can be connected to commercially available administration sets
Advantages
- Easier priming
- Improved flow rate control
- Manufactured with superior polymers to minimize chemical interaction with pharmaceuticals
Benefits
- Adjustable when dynamic conditions require changes in therapy
- Cost effective by eliminating additional combinations of rate control sets
Control just a turn away
As opposed to fixed rate sets, VersaRate’s proprietary variable control provides a range of adjustable flow rate settings to counter fluctuations in fluid viscosity resulting from temperature changes or the patient’s subcutaneous absorption in a simple and effortless way.
Infusion individualized
VersaRate technology allows adjustability during each therapy to individualize the infusion process for each patient's infusion needs.
Dialed to perfection
VersaRate’s ergonomic dial includes large number settings for easy viewing along with an off setting to immediately stop flow without the need for clamps. The compact design eliminates the need for long fixed rate sets.
Priming like it was meant to be
VersaRate allows the patient to easily control flow rate with the turn of a dial. This feature allows the user to increase the flow rate at the start of the priming process to save time and slow the flow rate at the end to assist with dry priming.
Training easier than ever before
VersaRate's intuitive design is preferred by patients and has been adopted as a preferred flow control method, allowing patients to use a lower rate of infusion the first time, and later increase to higher flow rates.
