Bodypoint® center-pull four point padded hip belt with swivel buckle attaches to the wheelchair in four places to assure that the pelvis does not move from an aligned, stable position and stays securely against the seat and back supports. Bodypoint® four point padded hip belt has extra points which prevent it from riding up into the abdomen or twisting and moving out of position making it ideal for anterior pelvic tilt, pelvic rotation and thrusting.
Seat mounting bracket (optional) provides an easy & secure way to mount belts to active wheelchairs. They are ideal for chairs with sling seat upholstery or a solid seat base. The 20° bracket is designed for mounting on the side of the seat tube, and the 90° bracket is great for mounting on top. Either configuration places the belt as close as possible to the user, for better fit.
FeaturesUser Issues: Fall risk, sacral sitting (or risk for), posterior or anterior pelvic tilt, pelvic obliquity/rotation | Product Examples: Two or four-point hip belt, with sub-ASIS pads (LB belts) if needed. With significant sliding risk or obliquity/rotation, consider a four-point belt or Evoflex®. |

Q. What are the benefits of a 4-point hip belt versus a standard 2-point
belt?
A. The 4-point design anchors the belt in four places—two primary and two
secondary straps—to keep the pelvis aligned and prevent twisting, sliding, or
riding up. This improves stability and safety, especially for users with pelvic
rotation or thrusting issues.
Q. What is the purpose of the swivel buckle on this hip belt?
A. The swivel buckle pivots to equalize tension on both sides, allowing more
comfortable and even pressure distribution across the pelvis. It's especially
helpful for users with asymmetry or sensitivity.
Q. What sizes are available, and how do I choose the correct fit?
Choose a size based on the user’s hip width and seating setup. A snug but
non-restrictive fit ensures optimal positioning and comfort.
Q. Is this hip belt compatible with all types of wheelchairs?
A. Yes, it fits most wheelchairs with sling upholstery or solid seat
bases. Optional 20° and 90° seat mounting brackets provide secure,
customizable attachment points for a closer, more precise fit.
Q. What makes this belt more comfortable for long-term use?
A. It features soft, wrinkle-free fabric and high-resilience closed-cell
foam padding for excellent pressure distribution. The deeper D-rings are
easy to grasp, even for caregivers or users with limited dexterity.
Q. Who is this product best suited for?
A. This hip belt is ideal for users with high tone, sacral sitting,
anterior/posterior pelvic tilt, or significant risk of pelvic rotation. It
helps maintain proper posture and reduces fall risk during daily wheelchair
use.
