Stratasorb Composite Island Wound Dressing

Stratasorb Composite Island Dressing is a waterproof, multi-layer wound dressing that protects wounds, absorbs exudate, and keeps a moist healing environment. It is designed for versatility and patient comfort, with four integrated layers that work together to promote all stages of wound healing, from protection and absorption to moisture balance. This sterile, latex-free dressing offers secure adhesion, gentle removal, and consistent covering, making it excellent for post-operative wounds, pressure injuries, and partial to full thickness wounds.

Features:

• Waterproof and breathable: Protects the wound from external moisture while enabling oxygen exchange to promote healing.

Dressing has Four-Layer Construction:

• Layer 1: It is a non-adherent contact layer that shields the wound site and prevents adhesion to granulating tissue.
• Layer 2: A soft absorbent cushion that effectively controls wound drainage.
• Layer 3: A non-woven backing with an adhesive border to hold the contact pad in place.
• Layer 4: A semi-occlusive polyurethane coating that helps to keep external pollutants out while providing an optimal healing environment.

Indication:

• Shallow or deep wounds
• Partial- and full-thickness wounds
• General wound protection and moisture control

Contraindications:

• Not intended for use on third-degree burns.
• Do not use in patients with known sensitivity to any component of the dressing.

How to apply:

1. Remove the dressing from its pouch. Peel off one release liner and place the dressing on one side of the wound.
2. Smooth the dressing border gently onto the skin, taking care not to cause creases.
3. Remove the remaining release liner and firmly press the dressing border against the skin to ensure full contact.

Removal: Gently lift one corner and slowly peel the dressing away from the skin.

Change Frequency: Replace the dressing based on the amount of wound drainage or as directed by a medical professional. Can stay in place for up to seven days.
